Designer (12 months contract)

One of the best investment company in Cape Town is seeking for Maketing Designer for 12 months contract; to be part of a creative and innovative Global Marketing team, looking for a confident self-starter, someone with the ability to manage their own workload and build relationships quickly. Must show great flexibility to manage continually changing priorities and high volumes.

Requirements:

5 years’ relevant experience using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)

Experience in an external or in-house agency

On- and offline design experience

Experience in financial services essential; within asset management desirable

Excellent understanding of the importance of brand

Good knowledge of excel and goa od grasp of data

Experience of job sharing or working closely with other designers on shared jobs desirable

Responsibilities:

Working with channel managers, create and update promotional material, for print, web and social media, ensuring quality control, accuracy and timeliness

Challenge existing design approaches and put forward fresh creative thinking as appropriate, contributing to briefing discussions with content owners

Understand content and data in order to lay it out in an attractive, clear and user-friendly way

Champion the brand, through the insistent and innovative application

Safeguard and maintain brand assets, including guidelines, paragraph styles, templates, colour palettes, image libraries

Work collaboratively with other designers in the am and from agencies, in UKthe and SA

Ensure strict version control is in place

Careful checking of all work to minimise rework

Develop a good knowledge of products and services

Work in Illustrator, Indesign a,n d Photoshop, using pre-existing templates plus developing new templates for a wide range of outputs, e.g. charts, sales aids, event branding, infographics

Clear and supportive documented and verbal handovers will be essential

Adhering to the Code of Ethics and related policies, including personal account dealing, gifts, market abuse, etc.

Ensuring Compliance training, declarations and relevant forms are completed on a timely basis

Ensuring that firm and client data and property, including IT data, are properly protected

Reporting any possible and actual breaches, errors, complaints or, conduct issues.

Reporting any suspicion that a client, investor, or employee may be involved in money laundering, fraud or other crime such as market abuse
