Design Engineering Intern

We design, build, test and support each product from beginning to end using state of the art tools and technology.

Responsibilities will include providing assistance on hardware designs, PCB layout, product testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, as well as the following responsibilities:

Design prototypes and verify new product designs

Test and troubleshoot existing designs

Design, improve and implement test fixtures for products, and document procedures for operation

Create Documentation to support designs, fixtures and procedures.

Hardware Design, Schematic Creation and PCB layout.

Qualified candidates will be a high energy individual that thrives in a small company environment that is ever changing. A quick to act and positive attitude is essential to thrive and succeed as well as having the ability to multitask. Other successful qualifications are:

Currently be enrolled in a relevant academic degree program such as Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Applied Engineering-Electronics, etc.

Desire to learn about real world applications for microelectronics

Knowledge of embedded software development processes and tools

Working knowledge of electronic prototyping platforms such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.

Basic knowledge of soldering and rework techniques and other hands-on activities.

Basic ability with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Must be able to commit to working 30 to 40 hours per week for the duration of 12 week internship during the summer with the possibility of an extension to a part time schedule during the school year based on performance and needs of the business
