Design Engineer

VSR Industries has been a world leader for over 40 years in the casino gaming industry, manufacturing high security locks and custom fabricated sheet metal and wood products. Corporate headquarters and manufacturing plants are located in Henderson, NV.

The Design Engineer is responsible for interpreting customer, sales staff and fellow Design Engineer specifications to fully develop mechanical designs using SolidWorks and various other tools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interact with sales staff, customers and design team members to quickly and accurately create 3D models, manufacturing drawings and assembly drawings / instructions .
• Computer Skills- Proficient in Solidworks (2012 or above) and Microsoft Office Suite. EPDM experience a plus
• Able to work as part of a team to ensure successful and on-time production of completed design.
• Supports Sales and fellow Design Engineers with a variety of tasks including concept renderings, ECR completion, and work instructions.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding the company, products and customer information.
• Able to work more than 40hrs/week when necessary to meet customer deadlines
• Ability to work in a fast paced design /manufacturing environment.
• Must be “hands-on” and work closely with fabrication and assembly staff to ensure prototype designs are accurate and easily fabricated/assembled for mass production

QUALIFICATIONS

Education : Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. Strong precision sheet metal design experience preferred. Gaming Industry experience a plus
