Position Purpose :
This is a temporary position that will assist with office related duties, including answering phones, use of fax/copy machine, electronic and paper filing, distribution and collection of office correspondence, and use of Microsoft Office software for document and spreadsheet creation/modification. Must have computer and keyboarding skills. Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications :
These positions are ONLY available for dependent children of current employees who are currently enrolled or have been accepted in a post-secondary school and who will be full-time college students in the fall of 2017 (See 2017 Summer Work Program memo). Applicable pay rate is $15.00/hour. A college transcript (for students who are currently enrolled) or a college acceptance letter (for students who have been accepted for enrollment) must be electronically submitted to either DGC or BEPC by attaching during the application process or you can email your transcript/acceptance letter to Alyssa Striefel at AStriefel@bepc.com (DGC) or Heather Schlenker at HSchlenker@bepc.com or Vickie Volk at vmvolk@bepc.com (BEPC). Applications received without this document WILL NOT be considered for these positions. Must be at least 18 years of age. Students must be full-time and must maintain a 2.5 grade point average. Selected students must complete a criminal background check and pass required medical tests and drug tests. These temporary jobs begin in May or early June and end in late August, depending on the needs of the organization and the student’s schedule. The workweek is generally 40 hours per week. Students who accept job offers for these positions must be willing to continue working through the summer. Those students who do not intend to work until school starts in the fall need not consider applying.

Typical Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands :
Requires constant hand coordination; frequent sitting, standing and walking; occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, hand grip up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, climbing, low level activity, elevated activity. Requires finger dexterity, the ability to perform close work, vision and hearing, binocular vision, balance, and the ability to speak. The incumbent must be able to read, write, weigh, measure, implement recommendations, and be able to work in an emergency situation. Over 95% of the day is spent indoors. Frequently exposed to dirt, dust, chemicals and occasionally to fumes, extreme heat and cold, vibration, noise and poor ventilation.
