Demand Planning Analyst

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a rolling 12 month collaborative demand forecast for VMI customers.

Plan and maintain replenishment orders based on Plant and VMI customer usage and initiate changes to the inventory levels based on usage.

Evaluate and update safety stock for each Plant and VMI customer.

Analyze historical shipment volume and work with VMI customers to determine if material numbers should be added or removed from customer VMI program.

Plan and optimize VMI shipments into loads based on supplier lot sizes to optimize container sized deliveries.

Plan requirements to meet export orders.

Create reports from system generated data to support problem solving as needed.

Develop and document standard work that drives repeatable results for demand and material planning.

Create key performance indicators that measure the accuracy, effectiveness, and completeness of the demand and material planning process and drive root cause corrective action as needed.

Lead development of new methodologies, as needed, to improve the planning process and results.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional partners.

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with VMI customers.

Support the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field

Years of Experience

Minimum of 3 years of related work experience or training
