Deep Learning & Computer Vision Software Engineer

We are now looking for a Deep Learning & Computer Vision Software Engineer:
Academic and commercial groups around the world are using GPUs to apply deep learning techniques that drive computer vision breakthroughs. Nvidia is seeking computer vision engineers familiar with applying deep learning to drive innovative computer vision usages on our Mobile devices.
This position provides the chance to define, implement, productize, and ship deep learning driven computer vision algorithms on mobile and embedded platforms. As part of the Camera and Mobile Vision Software Team, you will work closely with diverse set of engineers from Android software team, Camera Driver Team, Research and Architecture Teams. Strong communication skills are required along with the ability to work in a dynamic product-oriented team.
You have experience applying deep learning to solve computer vision problems. This role is hands on, so a strong engineering sense and a methodical approach are critical. Experience developing production code and apps that offer creative image processing and/or computational photography usages is a huge plus.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll prototype and develop deep learning driven computer vision/imaging algorithms for embedded and mobile platforms
You’ll use developments made in other groups such as the research and automotive teams
Drive the testing, documentation, verification, productization and maintenance of the algorithms and the s/w modules that use them
Develop tools to assist with algorithm development, algorithm testing, and image quality evaluation and validation, etc.
What we need to see:
Advanced degree (MS or PhD) with a focus in Deep Learning, Computer Vision, or Artificial Intelligence; or equivalent relevant experience.
5 years of relevant work experience
Expertise in deep learning, deep neural networks, convolutional neural networks, random forests, classifiers, feature representations, AI / Artificial Intelligence and/or related techniques.
Familiarity with one or more neural network frameworks such as Theano, Torch or Caffe
Consistent track record of academic or industrial research, with an emphasis on solving real-world problems.
Occasional travel to conferences and for customer visits may be required.
Excellent C/C++ programming and software design skills, including debugging, performance analysis, and test design.
Strong background in Cuda strongly preferred
Programming experience on/with Android, Linux platforms, Arm Neon, OpenGL, and OpenCL are a plus.
Python, Java, and/or Matlab programming experience are pluses.
