DCM Analyst – Macquarie Capital – New York

Macquarie’s Leveraged Finance team develops solutions in all areas of debt financing, including the origination, arrangement, underwriting and syndication of buyouts and institutionally-led corporate acquisitions. Macquarie has the capacity and the liquidity to provide, structure and coordinate debt financings of various sizes and types, across our global presence.


The Leveraged Finance Team in New York is looking for an experienced Analyst with current Leveraged Finance or investment banking experience (6 months to 1 year) to join the team.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the origination and execution of Leveraged Capital Markets transactions
  • Provide support for senior bankers in preparing analytical and transaction materials, interfacing with clients as required
  • Produce financial modelling and credit analysis and manage internal approval processes
  • Coordinate the development and drafting of all marketing presentations and offering documents
  • Support in negotiating legal documentation including term sheets, commitment letters and credit agreements
  • Understand and share knowledge of broad range of Macquarie products and services

Management of Risk

  • Ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with Macquarie or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues

Skills/Experience Required

  • Preferred experience in Leveraged Finance or investment banking
  • Proven interest in Leveraged Finance, Financial Sponsors, corporate finance and financial markets
  • Strong quantitative, written and spoken communication skills
  • Working knowledge of financial modelling, valuation, and credit analysis
  • Applicant must have advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Bloomberg, CapitalIQ, proven modelling skills, proficient in executing credit processes
  • Bachelor degree in a financial discipline and 6 months to 1 year of experience
