Database Programmer/ Analyst/ Report Writer

PMA Consultants, an ENR top 40 CM/PM consulting firm, is seeking a Database Programmer/ Analyst/ Report Writer. A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science or Information is required. Additionally, a solid background in relational databases, the ability to understand complex calculations, and experience in creating reports that are easy to read, print and display via web tools is required. This position is responsible for designing/maintaining interfaces; responsible for segmenting and loading data between different databases; reporting functions, including designing and developing reports, segmenting and loading data, and handling performance problems. Must be able to apply Boolean logic in the context of including and excluding data and be able to query MSSQL and Oracle databases and will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to effectively communicate with both development staff and business leaders.

Requirements:

8+ years of experience database programming and report writing

Experience with multiple platforms (Qlikview, MSSQL, Sybase & Oracle) a plus.

Relational database programming skills, such as the ability to write views, triggers and stored procedures for creating reports

Proficiency with complex database structure; experience with SQL Server/Database and Advanced SQL syntax

experience with SQL Server and OBI Reporting Services

Proficiency in programming with C# and Visual Basic .NET;

Data modeling

Experience with a recognized report writing toolset such as OBI, Crystal Reports, Jasper, etc.

Ability to create complex SQL queries

Solid written and oral communication skills

Excellent documentation skills

Strong attention to detail, and organizational skills

Knowledge of Primavera Unifier and Primavera P6 scheduling is a plus
