Summary :

The Database Developer who plays a key role within each phase of the software development lifecycle and fulfills any database needs.

This individual will work with cross functional team within a company’s infrastructure, data warehouse and other development teams as needed.

Improving query speed, setting best practices on development and testing, will all be but not limited to, the responsibilities of this individual.

Position Description:

– Develop SQL Server stored procedures to support Web application coded primarily in C# ASP.NET.

– Work with application developers or other departments as needed and gather and fulfil database needs in timely manner ensuring correctness of the data.

– Design, implement and troubleshoot data processes using ETL tools, Views, and SSIS/SSMS.

– Create, maintain, enhance and troubleshoot existing or new T-SQL code and design (scripts, stored procedures, functions, views and indexes).

Experience Requirements:

– B.S in computer science or related field.

– Minimum of 2 years of experience in database and software development (MS SQL).

– Experienced in writing complex queries and dynamic stored procedures, functions, etc.

– Experienced in performance tuning queries.

– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

– Self-motivated and proactive.

– Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

– Excellent organizational skills.

– Must be a team player and also able to work with minimal supervision.

Additional Preferred Skills:

– Experience with .Net Framework, C#, MVC, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML and CSS.

– Experience with SQL Server Reporting Service (SSRS).

– Experience with TFS or similar source control systems.

– Knowledge of web development.

– Experience with gathering and documenting technical requirements and specifications.
