Data Specialist / ETL Developer

This is an opportunity for you to play a key role in the transformation of IBM’s business by using your developmental and analytical skills to analyze and transform data to enable IBM to make better business decisions using the insight that you provide.
Job Duties:
You will be responsible for identifying data needs for projects, and then architecting, planning, and executions the extract, transform, and load (ETL) activities to provide the data. Our key tool in use today is the IBM InfoSphere Datastage, so we need expert skills in all aspects of Datastage.
Your team will be working face to face in the newly renovated Agile open landscape in the Research Triangle Park, NC campus, where the environment is dynamic and fast paced. We also have teams located throughout the world that you will be interacting with on projects. We practice the Agile software development methodology, so we need you to be ready to work as a team and constantly analyze how we can improve everything we do. You will participate in the Agile practices of stand-ups, sprint planning and execution, story point estimation, retrospectives, etc.
Must have the ability to work in the US without current/future need for IBM sponsorship

4+ years’ experience in IBM InfoSphere Datastage –
2+ years’ experience Advanced knowledge of Agile development methodologies
4+ years’ experience in SQL on IBM DB2 databases
Ability to analyze very large data sets and manage data quality
2+ years’ experience Writing shell scripts
Experience producing effective reports
Leadership experience of Datastage developer team members
Experience with Pearl and/or R
Well-rounded, full stack, DevOps experience, including automation of test, monitoring, and code management and deployments.
DB2 Database management and administrator experience
SPSS Modeler or other Data Mining / Analytics tools
Experience with COGNOS reporting
Experience with IBM Rational Team Concert and Slack.
Experience in Extract, Transform, and Load Tools, preferably IBM InfoSphere DataStage
