Data Scientist, Technology Adoption & Reporting

We are currently looking to hire a Sr. Analyst within the Advisor Experience and Design department, which is a part of LPL’s Business Technology Services organization. The LPL Advisor Experience & Design Team is seeking to expand our technology adoption metrics and insights team at our new Carolinas Campus in Fort Mill, SC. The ideal candidate has significant experience in analytics, user segmentation, usage analysis and deriving actionable insight to inform tactical and strategic product decisions and adoption campaigns. This individual will work as part of the team driving our technology adoption strategy with responsibility for both metric reporting and analysis.


Essential Functions:

• An essential member of the team that owns the data, analytics, and reporting to empower our technology adoption mission and drive insights to fuel product innovation.

• A deep understanding of modern analytics and business intelligence tools, and platforms.

• Proficiency with SQL. Experience with Python and other scripting languages is a plus.

• Must be able to interact cross-functionality with both technical and non-technical people.

• As an essential member of the analytics team, responsible for analysis and reporting on technology usage and adoption across our advisor population. Understand

• Participate in the development of adoption campaigns and efforts. Measure outcomes and adjust on the fly to drive the insight necessary to meet corporate goals.

• Enable personalized perspectives on technology usage on an individual advisor and office level

• Work closely with our research, development and adoption advocacy teams to promote technology adoption across our advisor population

• Communicate and advocate for the insights arising from your analysis.

• Partner with engineering to push the boundaries of what’s possible and contribute to the goals to deliver insight that enable product experiences that delight users

Qualifications:

• Experience with enterprise-grade engineering and software development practices

• Expert analytics skills and demonstrable experience deriving insight to influence company programs, products and strategies.

• Executive and client presentation and negotiation skills

• Detail-oriented and highly-developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

• Operate with limited oversight on a day-to-day basis

• Preferred: Some experience working as a part of a product or user experience organization is a plus.

• Preferred: Financial services industry experience.

• Creativity, imagination and a sense of humor
