Data Analyst – Swing Shift

As a Swing Shift Analyst, you will be expected to add value by providing technical experience through the use of SQL, VBA, Python, ETC. Through the use of these tools you will look for ways to improve processes and automate tasks. Analysts will ensure successful transmission of inbound and outbound files, reconcile investment activity, monitor system performance and work both internally and externally on data accuracy and client satisfaction. As a member of the Swing Shift, you will be play a crucial role in the daily operations of some of the largest organizations in the world including (ie: JPM, AIG, and more).

Responsibilities: ·

  • Ensure evening file transmissions are successfully completed and received by clients around the globe
  • Reconcile investment transactions using a state-of-the-art web-based system
  • Leverage SQL to gather and analyze data to resolve problems and inconsistencies
  • Utilize programming and internal tools alongside a cross-functional team of engineers, analysts, and developers to re-engineer inefficient processes with the goal of improving system automation, speed, accuracy, and operational workflow
  • Work on a dynamic and fast paced team, applying your analytical and problem-solving skills for maximum impact across the organization and industry
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with a global team to accurately and efficiently address problems

Requirements:

  • Availability to work evening shift (typical hours are from 3:00pm – 12:00am Mon – Thurs and 10:00am – 7:00 pm Fridays, but hours may be slightly adjusted at times)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, or related area of study
  • Strong aptitude for problem solving, math, and communication
  • Experience with VBA, SQL, Python and/or JAVA
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Work with minimal direction and ability to coordinate complex activities in an evolving environment
  • Right to work in the U.S. without employment based sponsorship now or in the future

Desired Experience and Skills:

  • Knowledge of investment accounting and related investment vehicles
  • Securities or financial markets experience
  • Experience with business intelligence solutions and relational databases
