Data Analyst (SQL/Python)

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join Republic’s Analytics team where he or she will support ad hoc analyses, statistical modeling, and the evolution of our data warehouse. If you’ve got a passion for analyzing data and delivering insight this position is for you!

Responsibilities:

• Support maintenance and evolution of an AWS Redshift data warehouse
• Monitor and increase resiliency of Python-based ETL
• Own company-wide SQL reporting tools
• Write ad hoc queries to support customer outreach and conduct ad hoc analyses of customer behavior for Operations, Marketing, and Finance

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of SQL and Python
• ETL/database skills a strong plus. Experience with AWS preferred
• Statistical modeling experience required; experience working with survival models a strong plus
• Track record demonstrating attention to detail, accuracy, and meeting deadlines
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally
• Independent and self-motivated
• Bachelor’s Degree required. Preferred majors in: Computer Science, Physics, Statistics, Economics or equivalent course of study
• 1-2 years of development experience in SQL, Python, or equivalent programming language
• Track record of procuring, cleaning and structuring data, fitting statistical models, generating and communicating clear insights
• Comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
