This is a temporary part-time position beginning in mid-June and extending through December 2017 (estimated and subject to change).

Description: The Process Analyst will be responsible for transforming AVMetrics data into business information that helps fulfill strategic objectives. Utilizing data from AVMetrics database and our consumer preference management platform, the analyst will be challenged to find innovative ways to search for meaningful patterns, trends, and relationships with this data, and then visualize the findings to business leaders with varying backgrounds at our Fortune 500 client base. The Process Analyst will also aid in special projects to improve internal process and analyses. The company seeks a highly energetic, intellectually curious, intrinsically driven individual who can get things done both individually and through teamwork. The successful applicant will have proven analytic background, a passion for sharing their expertise and explaining what the data means in real-world business situations.

Job Responsibilities: Data Analytics and Measurement

• Engages in the development, interpretation, implementation and support of several different types of statistical modeling and data mining techniques
• Understand trends and be able to provide clear verbal and written explanation of them.
• Develop business case scenarios from AVMetrics production data utilizing Excel, Access, R programing, SQL and Tableau.
• Participate in internal process improvement initiatives.
• Assists on projects/requests on routine statistical/business/research issues and studies
• Works with increasing autonomy on requests/projects/problems of complex statistical/business/research issues and studies
• Collect, organize and classify books, journals, audio visual and other materials relevant to subject specialization.
• Work with Data Warehouse team to help further drive BI initiatives, in bringing in relevant web analytics data into Data Warehouse.
• Ability to apply qualitative and quantitative assessments of data.
• Relational database experience and strong statistical and critical thinking skills.
• Consults with clients on the use of mathematical statistics, assessing modeling needs and defining project scope
• Analyze information requests to determine which materials will best meet researcher’s needs.
• Uses knowledge and experience with statistical techniques to specify parameters of modeling project or analysis

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled or a B.S. in business, mathematics, statistics, finance or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in data visualization field. Preferred tools: Tableau, R programing language, SAP Business Objects
• Knowledge of statistical methods, packages, programs and methodologies preferred
• Experience with common statistical programs and statistical analysis skills are required.
• Excellent Excel, Access and PowerPoint presentation and writing skills.
• Experience using SQL (or similar database application) and/or SAS (or similar statistics software) preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
