Epsilon’s Analytic Consulting Group is looking for a Data Analyst Intern to join a collaborative, growing team. This person will be exposed to a variety of projects within the Analytic Consulting realm of the business. The ideal candidate will have an excellent analytic thought process, primarily focusing on conducting data analysis using SAS, R, Python and other resources in support of a variety of analytic initiatives.
As an intern you’ll participate in a formal Intern Program, which is an 11-week summer program that aims to create a meaningful early career experience for university students. The program offers professional development & hands-on training, networking opportunities with people throughout the business including multiple projects & social events, and the consideration for full-time employment.
Responsibilities May Include (All or Some) Tasks Below:
Work with SAS and R to
Extract and manipulate massive data sets
Run various statistical tests and exploratory data analysis
Develop statistical models, both linear and non-linear
Assist in planning and execution of advanced models such as media mix, attribution, etc.
Leverage proprietary Epsilon data to create profiles of customer segments
Perform QA/QC measures along the way to ensure accuracy
Execute projects with detailed guidance on design & execution from manager.
Document and be able to articulate steps taken in an analysis to Project Managers.
Answer questions about data sets & analyses.
Learn and comply with group’s policies and procedures for programming, documentation, and system management.
Master the desktop and UNIX toolset (SAS, R, Python, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) to create content for evaluating statistical analyses such as tables, reports, graphs, etc.
Qualifications:
Candidate for Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Statistics, Marketing Analytics, or related quantitative fields.
6+ months of applicable experience using SAS, R, Python or other analytic tools in extracting and manipulating data, performing various statistical tests, exploratory analysis and modeling.
Intermediate Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
Strong analytic thought process and ability to interpret findings.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience with database and digital marketing a plus.
Detail-oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Able to work in a collaborative team & build effective relationships.
Self-starter, with strong initiative.
