DESCRIPTION

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Creates and maintains a data dictionary and meta data.
Supports efforts to ensure that data standards are developed and maintained.
Ensures that the uses of data through reports and queries are accurate.
Supports business and system re-engineering and architecture development to define future data needs.
Serves as an organizational consultant on matters relating to databases by providing expertise to assist users in meeting their needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Two years of experience in processes and standards related to data OR a bachelor’s degree.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Excellent working knowledge of statistical programming software, such as SAS or Stata
Excellent organizational skills and quantitative data analysis skills
Familiarity with biostatistics, epidemiology, and medical terminology a plus
Experience working with relational database structures such as Microsoft Access or SQL or other case report form collection tools a plus
Experience working with web-based surveys and data capture tools such as REDCap or Survey Gizmo a plus
Ability to independently maintain and manage data sets; identify logical flaws, invalid responses, and other data issues; conduct data cleaning; and to develop programmatic solutions
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Excellent writing skills with demonstrated experience contributing to drafting manuscript and reports to funding agencies
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster good working relationships on research teams and multi-site studies
