Data Analyst

Summit Companies is a premier firm in the Fire Protection and Fire Life Safety industry with offices throughout the United States. At Summit Companies we provide services designed to protect buildings, assets and most important people. Due to recent growth, we are currently seeking a Data Analyst to join the team in our Saint Paul office.

Position Summary

A Data Analyst at Summit Companies plays a key role in our company by performing regular data evaluation and analysist using multiple facets and approaches to summarize different areas in the company and provide upper management with information to support decision making. The Data Analyst will report to the CIO.

Hours: 7:00am-4:00pm

This is an exempt salary position

-Compensation will be based on experience.

Job Duties:

• Analyst will work closely with developers and vendors to develop reports and dashboard with actionable insights.
• Create value from data by performing advance analytics and statistical techniques.
• Support sales and management in compiling useful analytics/reports to deepen insights & make predictions.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear manner.
• Ability to work in a fast- paced environment with changing Priorities.
• Ability to consistently operate on a computer and other office equipment such as phones, printer, and copier.
• Some nights and weekends required on an as needed basis depending on project work schedules.

Job Requirements

• Must have at least 5-7 years related experience and/or four year related degree in technology/information systems.
• Strong background in data modeling with highly advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to display and effectively communicate findings.
• Advanced analytics knowledge and techniques to discover deeper insights, make predictions and or generate recommendations.
• Knowledge of statistics and experience analyzing large datasets, utilizing existing tools and working with developers to achieve success.
• All candidates must successfully pass a DRUG SCREEN.
• Candidate must have exceptional English written and communication skills.
• Able to remain in a stationary position at desk for 75 % of the time.
