As a Desktop Support Technician, you’ll work in a dynamic environment supporting our client. You’ll have the opportunity to utilize your technical skills and continue to learn new ones all while having fun.

What you’ll do at Insight:

• Support clients in person and over the phone
• Troubleshoot end user desktop issues with Windows and printer technology
• Track fixed assets and inventory
• Educate and set up new users, including imaging, new hardware

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

What you’ll need to join Insight:

• PC Experience
• Education requirements and 2 minimum year experience.
• Experience in LANs, WANs, Personal Computers, messaging and server software applications
• Understanding of large account environments and protocol required.
• Ability to multitask with strong organization and time management skills. Able to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints in a timely fashion.
• A+ certification preferred!
• Perform installation and support of new and existing desktop, hand-held, and mobile computing equipment and software. – Approximately 11,000 workstations to be re-placed across all territories with these resources.
• Provide basic local area network (LAN) equipment support
• Install personal computers, PDAs, printers, and other desktop computing equipment or software – approximately 11,000 devices across all territories will be replaced.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware/software issues determine viable solution per direction of Data Network Specialist.
• Perform equipment and software inventory and updates in appropriate databases.
• Perform preventative maintenance as directed and updates documentation.
• Basic Microsoft word and excel skills to update necessary documentation.
• Lift, carry, and/or push/pull various items (bag, boxes, carts, etc.) as directed by Client.
• May be required to transfer equipment to an installation site (internal department and or a site depending on assignment).
