Customer Support Technician

Timeously assess and repair jobs

Ensure set KPI’s are reached and maintained

Ensure effective customer communication

Effective follow up and Job checking

Report any incompatibility of products to management

Execute Companystandards of excellence in all work completed.

Build good relationships with staff and customers, always display a courteous and helpful attitude .

Assist with other job-related duties as and when required

Ensure that all parts are supplied as per picking slip during assembly process

Notify the Operations Manager of any shortages

Adhere to ESD requirements and care is required when handling the components

Ensure that the PC/Server is built according to the given time period and SLA, 4 hours for a desktop and 24 hours for a server unit.

Ensure that all components are fitted, and all peripherals/accessories are packed to accompany the order.

Escalate any problems or backlog to the Operations Manager

Ensure neatness and uniformity in the assembly of each PC/Server

Ensure that the assembled PC is packaged in its correct box with matching serial number

General admin and housekeeping

Assist with duties in the warehouse from time to time.

Other duties as specified by your line manager

Education/Qualification

Matric

Relevant technical qualification: A+ / N+ / Server

Skills & Competencies (general job knowledge & skill sets)

Attention to detail

Problem Solving

Understanding of gross technical problems

Strong ability to work according to a time line and schedule

Ability to work under pressure

Well disciplined’ individual

Ability to effectively diagnose failures ensuring a low return rate

Experience required

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a technical environment

Good knowledge on servers, IT Hardware and networking
