Customer Service Specialist

The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for professionally and effectively interfacing with customers, company sales representatives, suppliers, buyers, and internal and external team members, to handle a variety of customer support functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing customer services relating to sales, sales promotions, installations and communications.
  • Ensuring that good customer relations and seamless turnaround in problem resolution are maintained and customer claims, product orders and complaints are resolved fairly, effectively and in accordance with the consumer laws.
  • Answering questions and provide prompt information related to potential concerns.
  • Developing organization-wide initiatives to proactively inform and educate customers.
  • Providing tracking information on critical deliveries.
  • Researching and processing credits to customers for stocked returns, damages and other issues. Follow correct procedures and compliance guidelines, such as hazardous materials, cold chain compliance and pedigree, to determine and document accurate reasons for credits, issue customer credits, and organize the logistics of returned product, effectively communicating with customer and sales throughout the process)
  • Responsible for checking or purchase order status and confirmations
  • Managing purchase order and product data within the system. Communicating with cross-functional departments in order to coordinate purchasing.
  • Customer Service Specialist must be a self-driven individual needing little to no supervision.
  • Must have the ability to maintain professionalism and uphold respect even when dealing with stressful situations.
  • Must be flexible and dependable.
  • Must be willing to perform multiple different tasks when needed.
  • Shift: Day shift (hours are flexible)

    Minimum Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1+ years experience in customer service and/or procurement
  • Proficiency with MS office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Able to prioritize and multi-task in order to meet various deadlines and customer expectations
  • Strong problem-solving skills: ability to analyze information provided, identify the root issue, and use resources appropriately to solve basic customers’ problems/questions in a timely manner
  • Preferred Requirements:

  • Associate’s or University degree or equivalent
  • Experience with SAP
  • Must be authorized to work in the US. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
