Customer Service Representative (CSR)

Job Description

Spartan Logistics is looking for a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to work in our Gastonia, NC warehouse. You are the primary first contact with all of our customers, and accordingly must have heart for helping people, being organized, and a pleasant professional disposition. One on one customer relations, excellent computer skills, and accuracy of data entry are critical to success in this position, including receipts, and inbound and outbound shipments, adjustments, and billing. Must be Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, WMS (Warehouse Management System) software and SAP system is a bonus. You will also be involved in scheduling of inbound and outbound freight carriers and general office duties. You will have the ability to multi-task and be very organized. You will be an assistant in all things to the manager in smoothly operating this location, solving problems, and minimizing costs, with a focus on the office. This position is expected to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm and occasional weekends if necessary. May require very light warehouse work. Fork lift experience is a bonus.

Job Requirements

At least two years direct working warehouse experience and a dependable work ethic. Because of the high value of the inventory, character and integrity will not be compromised. Willingness to stay until the job is done. Attention to detail in all aspects of the job especially data entry and inventory control. We require a positive, problem-solving, service-centered attitude, as disciplined mindset to follow procedures, and to develop procedures when necessary, and in addition, creativity for improving how things work.

Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
