Customer Service Representative

Essential Functions:

1. Answers incoming calls. Screens caller to determine reason for call and either handles the call or routes to the appropriate department (such as sales).

2. Answers callers’ questions about policy coverage.

3. Conducts research and follows up with return calls as needed to fully answer questions.

4. Contacts new policy holders to introduce the company and explain the policy.

5. Answers e-mail, voicemail and fax requests.

6. Mails policy information to policy holder as requested.

7. Makes policy adjustments and changes as requested by the policy holder

Additional Responsibilities:

• Attends and participates in team meetings as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Education and Experience:

• · High School diploma or equivalent
• · 1+ years experience in insurance claims processing or call center customer support
• · Training or education in medical terminology or veterinary technician support
• · Strong computer skills
• · Strong customer service skills
• · Excellent oral and written communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $13.00 to $14.00 /hour
