Customer Service Representative

The incumbent will collect orders from accounts and processes them, resolve product, service or order problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; and following up to ensure resolution. Heavy interface with customers by phone and electronically. Frequent data entry, processing of customer RMA’s and order maintenance. Independent judgment required to follow through activities to support CS Supervisor and GM.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Respond promptly to customer inquiries

Handle and resolve customer complaints

Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle inquiries and complaints

EDI order processing and data entry

Order maintenance and coordination

Customer order compliance management

Routine update and maintenance of excel reports

Ship completed products/requests

Direct requests and unresolved issues to Key Account Manager

Communicate and coordinate with internal AQA departments

Follow up on customer interactions

Provide technical assistance and/or relay product knowledge to internal and external customers

Perform various activities to achieve department quality standards and goals

QUALIFICATIONS

Utilize excellent interpersonal and listening skills

Work in a fast paced environment

Analyze and resolve complex customer issues

Be organized, and efficient

Possess excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) in dealing with both peers, internal and external customers

Manage multiple customers and/or projects with great attention to detail

Possess problem solving and problem analysis skills

Show attention to detail and accuracy

Handle data collection and ordering

Be adaptable and tolerate stress

Demonstrate initiative and ability to multi-task

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent

Able to speak, read and write English

Experience with and general knowledge of products related to diving industry

Knowledge of customer service principles and practices

Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Swim or snorkel experience preferred, dive certification a plus
