Customer Service Rep I, RMV

1.
Perform all operations of a personal computer; add at least 950 traffic citation documents weekly to the automated motor vehicle violation file maintained on the Automated Licensing and Registration System (ALARS) with a 1% or less error rate.

Prescreen and code at least 5,250 citations weekly with less than 1 error for every 200 citations.

Inform the team leader when a citation containing a major criminal offense is placed into the Board’s Suspended Traffic Citation File.

4.
Inform the team leader when a police department or court continuously submits citations with illegible, missing or incorrect information.

5.
Correct coding and data entry errors during the addition or update of a citation previously applied to the automated motor vehicle violation file.

6.
Report all problems and issues with the on-line screens maintained by the MRB and RMV to the team leader of the work unit.

7.
Complete all task requirements for special in-house citation research or error correction projects.

8.
File batch envelopes completed in entry into the Merit Rating Board’s Citation Filing System

Qualifications

This requisition will remain open until filled; however, first consideration will be given to those applicants that apply within the first 14 days.

Minimum Entrance Requirements:

Applicants must have at least (A) one year of full-time or equivalent part-time, experience in a position, the major duties of which included, cash handling and working directly with clients or customers; or experience providing information to clients, customers or the general public on services, procedures and requirements, which included entering or retrieving data using computer systems.

Applicants must agree to and successfully pass a background check of criminal justice information and satisfactory review of driving record to be eligible for this position.

Substitutions:

A Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the required experience.
