Customer Service and Engagement Representative Role:

  • The new Discover IT card is designed to allow customers a new end-to-end customer experience that brings our positioning to life and strengthens our #1 in customer loyalty claim.
  • The Customer Service Expert will be responsible for providing an enhanced customer experience for Discover IT Customers, handling selected call channels in effort to make it simple and easy for them.
  • The Customer Service Expert is a knowledgeable and an empowered customer service agent that must be motivated to implement ideal relationship principles within every call. (Relationship Principles – personalized, friendly, anticipatory, flexible, tailored, attentive, helpful and inviting.)

Skills Required:

  • Has a strong desire and proven ability to deliver on excellent customer service principles on every call.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem solving skills.
  • Represents the company in handling selected call types primarily new card member activation and backing up service inquiry, balance transfer, and customer retention
  • Resourceful and able to quickly find and locate policies and procedures to deliver correct information in a timely manner. Gives complete, accurate solutions within the call.
  • Has extensive experience and knowledge of how to convey and position relevant, meaningful feature and benefit information within each call in order to increase Customer Engagement
  • Empowered to render appropriate decisions in order to improve the customer relationship
  • Collaborates by sharing best practices with peers and team.
  • Acts as role model for the customer experience.
  • WOWs the Customer through use of surprise and delight empowerment tools.
  • Ensures compliance with our customer service policies and procedures.

Position is scheduled to begin July 10, 2017. We are offering morning schedules. Schedules are full-time (40 hours) working Monday – Friday with weekends. The position also includes a paid ten (10) week training with no time off (July, August and September).
