Customer Service Agent

Flight Services & Systems, Inc., is a nationwide airline services company located throughout the United States. We currently have immediate openings for Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport location.

Job Type: Part-time, permanent – hours approximately 6-9pm

Job Level: Entry.

Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent/GED

Job Specific Responsibilities for Customer Service Agents:

• Assist Passengers in purchasing tickets for flight — Issuance of boarding passes Enter and retrieve information from computerized systems
• Check passenger baggage and ensure inspection by TSA in compliance with policies and procedures
• Reconcile daily receipts and prepare reports as required
• Complete passenger boarding process
• Maintain al records and ensure all ticket counter responsibilities are in compliance to FAA/TSA/Airline/FSS policies and procedures
• Assist disabled/elderly passengers in boarding aircraft and disembarking from aircraft in compliance with all policies and policies
• Resolve passenger issues, answer questions and provide general assistance to passenger
• Assist passengers with lost/misdirected baggage claims

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform all duties under sometimes stressful conditions beyond the employee’s control. May be subject to engine fumes, vehicle emissions, dust and engine noise. Must be able to carry, bend, lift, and turn with bags and parcels weighing up to 75 lbs. Must be able to move around freely in cargo hold/aircraft interior; reach, bend and twist in confined spaces. Operate vehicles in areas congested with aircraft, moving and stationary vehicles and equipment as well as positioning vehicle up to aircraft requiring depth perception. Employment Requirements: Must possess the legal right to work in the United States.

Federal law requires employer to determine an applicant’s history of Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and/or alcohol violation(s) or refusal(s) to test before hiring him/her into a safety-sensitive position. This position may be subject to random DOT testing. If applicable to the position, a candidate must fulfill a fingerprint-based criminal background check to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA). Candidates must also be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US customs security badges, if applicable.
