Customer Care Representative I

Satisfactorily handle incoming customer phone calls, keeping in mind company policies and procedures while adhering to PUC Rules and Regulations. Maintain performance of 75% when combining percent of time “available” for a call and percent of time on calls. Process new service applications. Handle complex inquiries independently or with very little assistance. Answer billing questions and be adept at responding to high bill complaints and adjustment related questions. Understand Outreach, refer customers to special programs (CAP, Operation Share, LIURP), and be able to respond to customer inquiries. Complete associated reports, letters, customer disputes, etc. as required.

Knowledge & Skills

  • A thorough understanding and adherence to PUC rules/regulations including Chapter 56 and Chapter 14 along with UGI policies/procedures
  • Advanced Telephone techniques
  • Computer skills
  • Communication skills
  • Excellent listening skills and the ability to offer explanations to our customers in a clear, concise, and easy to understand manner.
