The Cordele Judicial Circuit is accepting applications for the position of Investigator I or II. The Circuit consists of Crisp, Dooly, Ben Hill and Wilcox counties. Applicants must meet the qualifications and have the necessary skills to perform the job duties and responsibilities for the position. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • -Conducting investigations of cases including interviewing witnesses, collecting evidence, performing background investigations and reviewing all case information.
  • -Case Management, compiling reports and utilizing investigative programs.
  • -Assistance in Court proceedings
  • -Client Intakes
  • -Maintaining knowledge of all developments in the field through various resources and training.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND One year of related experience OR Three years of experience in law enforcement or related field OR One year of experience required at the lower level Criminal Investigator 1 (PSP090) or position equivalent AND P.O.S.T. certification. Note: Some positions may require incumbent to have a valid Class C driver’s license.
