Credit Analyst Trainee

The Credit Analyst Trainee participates in a rigorous 12 month credit training and development program to learn the foundational elements required to evaluate applications for credit. Upon successful completion of the Credit Development Program, incumbents will progress to the Credit Analyst I position, directly assisting Credit Officers. The Credit Analyst Trainee will learn the basics of credit assessment fundamentals, credit underwriting, cash flow, tax analysis, client risk recommendations, reviewing client accounts, and regulatory and bank rules, regulations and standards. The Credit Analyst Trainee will become capable of providing basic analytical support relating to due diligence, document processing, and financial/statistical analyses related to transactions, credit approval and ongoing monitoring of completed credit transactions. Trainees will also attend City National Bank’s Credit Boot Camp.

* *Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics or Business Administration.

* *Minimum of 4 years of MS Office experience including Excel.

* Working knowledge of credit, accounting, credit policy and financial statement analysis.

* Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

* Good verbal and written communication skills to present clear and precise recommendations based upon analysis for action on loans and loan treatments.

* Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of an organization.

* Effective interpersonal skills.

* Proficiency in multi-tasking and prioritizing projects.
