Role Overview

A key pillar of the Time Out sales strategy is to drive revenue growth from creativity via integrated solutions that bring together the power of the Time Out product portfolio. This is what we call a “creative solution” at Time Out. This role is a client-facing position, working in post-sale to execute these creative integrated campaigns.

Are you a task master that enjoys dissecting a media or marketing plan, creating and sharing a project timeline, and driving a multi-platform paid campaign through from start to finish? The position of Creative Solutions Project Manager requires a problem solver with a strong background in content marketing and project management. The successful candidate will need to be a creative and assured self-starter with experience working in a busy multi-media environment and a record of successful campaign management.

This role calls for someone who is on top of trends re: execution of those proposed campaigns via social media platforms, website platforms, print platforms and experiential platforms.

The Creative Solutions Project Manager will be responsible for managing a number of different campaigns at one time from large scale multi-media integrated partnerships and custom content solutions, to smaller commercial campaigns e.g. magazine advertorials or digital advertorials. They will be involved in commissioning and shaping content, and managing all internal resources to fulfil on the campaign sold.

This role will work closely with the Creative Solutions Strategists and National Sales team (who work create and sell programs to advertisers) with high exposure to the editorial, design, production and ad operations teams to manage commercial processes where involvement from these teams is required.

Key responsibilities:

  • Commission and project manage the execution of branded content, including digital, print, video, photography, experiential and social media pending the campaign to ensure quality and that key deadlines are met.
  • Manage freelance vendors or internal creative teams on a project basis, both on-site and remotely to execute campaigns and uphold the Time Out standard.
  • Liaise closely with clients and advertisers to deliver a first in class experience working with Time Out on custom integrated programs.
  • Create and present project timelines, generate reports and communicate key campaign targets, results and deadlines on a regular basis, flagging up potential issues and managing client expectations in general.
  • Present confident and clear information, instructions and updates, managing expectations of all parties involved in a campaign, acting as a mediator and point of contact between Time Out and the client during post-sale.
  • Ensure that the project and client act in accordance with effective contracts
  • Keep current on trends in the digital, social, mobile, print and experiential landscape to implement.
  • Contribute to internal brainstorming sessions for collaborative concept generation and proposal making as needed.

Skills and Experience:

  • Have at least 2-3 years of project management or account management experience, preferably in a publishing environment or creative agency environment
  • A proven track record of project managing successful campaigns and creative projects, preferably in a media publishing or content agency environment
  • A high level of competency in building project timelines and managing projects from start to completion, hitting deadline
  • A strong sense of urgency and ability to multi-task and juggle multiple campaigns daily
  • A highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work autonomously but also be able to work as part of a wider team
  • A good understanding of the media landscape (digital, print, experiential and social)
  • A good understanding of the cross-platform sales process and commercial projects in general
  • Ability to learn on the job to develop a working knowledge of the Time Out’s platform, technologies and processes – identifying knowledge gaps and taking the necessary steps to fill these
  • Excellent relationship building skills internally and externally with clients and media agencies
