Hobby Lobby Art/Creative Department
serves as the in-house design, product development and creative content hub for the buying groups of the corporate offices in Oklahoma City.

The
Art/Creative Department
is currently seeking well-organized, creative thinkers with excellent collaboration and leadership skills as candidates for the role of
Creative Manager of Social Media.

This
Creative Manager
oversees production of inspirational and instructional imagery and video content for Social Media.

The ideal candidate for this position possesses strong leadership and client relationship management skills and has the ability to prioritize and excel in a fast-paced environment with a focus on efficient and on-time project execution.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide art direction for the creation of high-quality, original creative content
  • Lead by example and set standards for professional and objective behavior regarding employee relations, conflict resolution and effective decision-making
  • Manage multiple teams facilitating employee growth and development
  • Ensure all direct reports maintain deep understanding of their projects and how to set and accomplish goals
  • Lead team brainstorming and conceptualization process and work with internal teams to generate ideas, recommend solutions and mock up concepts to grow the brand
  • Research and implement new approaches to create craft styling
  • Work collaboratively with Directors, peers, clients, direct reports and cross-functional teams to meet overall goals
  • Uphold a high level of quality and integrity consistent with corporate branding standards
  • Stay current on new technologies, industry trends, consumer insights and competitive landscape to inform and drive creative vision and strategy
  • Embrace and exemplify company and department missions and values
  • Provide both internal and external partners with the highest level of customer and design services, and communicate effectively with a positive, professional attitude
  • Complete additional duties as assigned

Job Description – Requirements

Skills necessary for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Excellent enthusiasm and self-drive with a passion for design
  • Keen eye for color
  • Excellent ability for creative conceptualization and to lead ideation, presentation, execution and follow-through on all creative deliverables
  • Ability to identify target audiences, marketing messages with positivity, inspiration, creativity and authenticity
  • Strong working knowledge of SEO principles, including keyword research, Google Analytics and “Search and Social” principles
  • Proficient in content marketing theory and application
  • In-depth knowledge of varying social medial platforms (i.e. Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest) including effective deployment of creative content
  • Proficient video production technical knowledge
  • Strong ability to learn quickly with a propensity to research and apply knowledge and tools to increase efficiency
  • Strong ability to confidently and gracefully provide and receive direction and constructive feedback in a dynamic environment
  • Strong ability in multi-tasking and time-management, including prioritizing and re-prioritizing as needed
  • Excellent problem-identifying and problem-solving skills with an ability to think clearly and objectively under pressure
  • Strong leadership-level presentation skills, from concept to final output, in written, verbal and video formats
  • Proficient Mac skills
  • Ability to perform all functions and duties as described in the Essential Job Functions with or without accommodation
  • Ability to perform job duties at the corporate office in Oklahoma City

Other requirements for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Three or more years experience in advertising production, or five or more years of comparable work experience
  • Three or more years of direct report management
  • Demonstrated and documented creativity and immersion in Social Media and Video Tutorial (examples/portfolio required)
