Creative Design Manager

Job Descriptions:
Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is currently looking for a Creative Manager for its Irvine, CA facility that will:

Provide experienced and mature design inspiration to a team of Senior and Creative Designers. Direct clay and math modelers in the creation of 2D sketches and 3D models. Build team environment and camaraderie.

Develop and manage production and advanced designs in 2 and 3 dimensions.

Develop and manage alternative interior, exterior and detail designs.

Collaborate with, challenge and inspire Engineering to new design solutions.

Lead design projects with direct participation to inspire growth and maturity through experience.

Develop advanced concepts using appropriate and complete visual storytelling techniques.

Research design trends and technologies.

Consult with Engineering and Management on design issues, providing options and solutions.

Create visual and verbal presentations to Management and external clients such as the media, press, etc.

Represent the Design Studio in interactions with Marketing, Product Planning, Engineering, the press, and other media regarding designs.

Perform administrative functions such as purchasing requests, timecard, vacation requests, travel requests, etc.

Travel up to 15% of time domestically and internationally.

Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Automotive, Industrial, or Transportation Design

Multiple years Automotive or Industrial Design experience

Valid Driver License and satisfactory driving record
