CRE/CMBS Analyst/Associate, Central Funding Group

What is the opportunity?

Analyst or Associate on the CRE/CMBS Discretionary Lending Team within the Central Funding Group.

What will you do?

Develop an understanding of the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and Commercial Mortgage backed Securities (CMBS) Markets.

Work directly with the Head of the of CRE/CMBS team.

Underwrite and analyze CRE loans and CMBS for RBC’s discretionary lending platform.

Develop structured products expertise for portfolio analytics and trading.

Constantly monitor the markets for industry specific market color and trading information.

Track risk metrics to adequately capture the risk profile of the CRE & CMBS portfolios.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

1-4 years of CRE or CMBS experience.

Will consider the right candidate with no CRE experience

Undergraduate degree with a focus on Business, Economics, Mathematics or other quantitative fields

Strong PC skills specifically in Microsoft Office applications

Excellent interpersonal skills

Nice-to-have

NYSE Licensing, Series 7 and 63

Understanding of financial/stock market
