Directly and through Account Representatives, manages all relationship management activities for clients in the assigned business segment and/or geographical region. Grows spend volume and revenue as directed by senior management by successfully prospecting for new business opportunities and retaining and expanding existing customer relationships. Monitors and enhances profitability of all assigned relationships. Responsibilities include: managing the non-credit risk for customer portfolio, sales of all bank products groups to existing clients, sourcing prospects and developing new customer relationships, providing consultative advice to clients, growing portfolios through various program optimization activities, and making appropriate referrals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Retains and expands relationships with existing clients.
  • Demonstrates subject matter expertise and competence as a trusted client advisor.
  • Prospects for and refers new deposit and treasury management relationships and consolidated payables opportunity.
  • Proactively develop and implement strategy to grow net revenue year-over-year and drive financial results.
  • Manage the non-credit risk for customer portfolio.
  • Expands customer relationships through program optimization, sales, and strong collaboration with banking partners to create additional opportunity and referrals.
  • Develops and implements an effective calling methodology for existing clients with consistent interaction to provide best practices, market trends and commercial payments products and services program recommendations.
  • Develops and implements a plan for sourcing prospects and developing new customer relationships.
  • Manages/ retains assigned customer relationships and proactively partners with the appropriate specialists as needed to provide client consultancy.
  • Acts as a point of escalation for customer problems and acts as a liaison with other departments, divisions and subsidiaries in managing the customer’s relationship with the bank.
  • Manages overall customer and CPS portfolio profitability.

  • Develops and implements relationship strategies for selling bank products and services by satisfying customer needs through a full array of bankcard solutions and other appropriate bank products and services.
  • Remain current on all operational and compliance issues related to CPS Bankcard products and services to mitigate risk.
  • Work closely with the Account Coordinator and Customer Service teams to provide superior customer services and support. Must maintain relationship in compliance with all banking procedures and guidelines.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership with excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication and leadership skills are essential. Possess a proven track record of effectively working in cross-functional teams, communicating effectively with the vendors/partners, clients, and internal teams.
  • Actively ensures compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, policies and procedures. Actively participates in any required corporate and business line training in these areas. Follows account opening procedures and understands and follows internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes, as required for this position. Actively works with clients to understand each customer’s normal account activity, as appropriate for this position.
  • Participates in conferences, trade shows, training conferences, and other events deemed applicable to assigned portfolio.

    SPECIFICATIONS:
    This is a general description which covers all levels/grades of the job. Level/grade assignments are determined by the attached leveling guidelines. Minimum qualifications are outlined below:

    Requires strong relationship management and business development abilities, well-developed analytical and problem solving skills, strong sales skills, and an extensive knowledge of CPS products and treasury management services. Must possess a broad knowledge of bank products and services that result in successfully capitalizing on all opportunities to expand relationships and sell the bank’s products. Must have the ability to work effectively with individuals, groups, and vendors across the company to manage customer relationships. Has well-developed written communication and verbal presentation skills.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Master’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • 10 or more years of relationship management experience
  • Healthcare experience is preferred
Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Strong sales, relationship management and business development abilities
  • Extensive knowledge of CPS products and treasury management services
  • Broad knowledge of bank products and services that result in successfully capitalizing on all opportunities to expand relationships and sales of bank’s products
