Corporate Staff Accountant

Alpha Media is seeking a full-time Corporate Staff Accountant to be located in our downtown Portland, Oregon headquarters. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to take direction, possess excellent communication and customer service skills, and enjoy working in a team environment that is dynamic and fast paced.

Responsibilities of this position may include the following:
Review and prepare financial statements.

General ledger maintenance and account reconciliations.

Prepare intercompany allocations and bank reconciliations.

Coordinate and work directly with external auditors.

Assist business management with budget development, tracking, forecasting, and other ad hoc projects as identified.

Requirements for this position include the following:
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

A minimum of two years’ public accounting experience.

Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite programs with an emphasis on Excel analysis.

Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally at all times.

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet strict deadlines.

Ability to troubleshoot unexpected problems and correct them quickly.

Occasional travel is required.

Preference may be given to candidates who meet the above requirements and have the following:

Experience working with budget development or forecasting.

Experience in public and corporate accounting.

Working knowledge of Sage 100 Advanced ERP software.
