Corporate Sector, Finance and Risk Operations -intern

FinRisk Warehouse (FRW) is a strategic component of the Finance – Risk Infrastructure and is managed by Finance & Risk CFO operations area within Corporate Finance. We are responsible to source, control and monitor the timeliness, completeness, accuracy, reconciliation with General Ledger of all wholesale/ retail transaction and position information, on behalf of Finance and Risk – Credit, Liquidity, Market, and Principal etc. The Program Central Execution team takes the lead in driving the strategic initiative of creation of Finance Risk Convergence Platform and is responsible for integrated program execution in partnership with Operations and Technology teams within Corporate Finance and Risk along with LOB teams.

Role:
An Analyst on the Finance Risk Convergence Program will include working on the team with the Sourcing and Consumption Lead for FRW program or Test Execution team on specific projects / initiatives with the focus on :

If aligned to Data Sourcing Prep would be required to:
Assist in defining data sourcing requirements for Finance and Risk Reporting for a specific asset class i.e. Loans, Commitments, Deposits, and Derivative and project deliverables by identifying, driving and participating in project milestones, phases as well as specific action items

Working on a set of Data quality issues impacting a new feed being on boarded, understanding the remediation approach, working with a senior colleague in the team to track the progress and assisting with the testing of the DQ issue.

Execute data extraction, support analysis and help prepare presentations highlighting potential issues and recommending actions

Generate workflows and process design as applicable to depict the data flow for the source system or into FRW to its consumers.

Effectively communicate with peers and colleagues across different groups and functions.

Actively participate and collaborate in work stream meetings and ad hoc working sessions including driving agendas, preparing meeting minutes and keeping track of agreed actions

If aligned to Test Execution Prep would be required to:
Responsible to executing test cases on FRW platform for an asset class aligned feed with the understanding of data attributes and portfolio being sourced.

Responsible to executing test cases on FRW platform for a set of platform functionality supporting Reconciliation, adjustments, data exception and control reporting.

Help prepare the Test Execution status report for a specific test module/ release

Execute data extraction, support analysis and help prepare presentations highlighting potential issues and recommending actions

Effectively communicate with peers and colleagues across different groups and functions. Escalate issues as appropriate

Actively participate and collaborate in work stream meetings and ad hoc working sessions including driving agendas, preparing meeting minutes and keeping track of agreed actions

Strong analytical / critical thinking and problem solving skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including attention to detail as well as the ability to summarize and present

Ability to identify and ask questions as appropriate

Ability to work both independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint and Excel

Strong communication skills (written, presentation development, verbal)

Time Management: Organization and prioritization of tasks, setting own deadlines and working to defined targets.

Technical skills: The daily tasks will involve using several applications as well as the standard desktop tools like MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
