Corporate Development Intern

Under the direction of the Corporate Development department leadership, this position will participate in the internship program supporting the Corporate Development and Finance groups at Sharecare, Inc. with supplementary experiences in other departments.

• Perform industry research to highlight opportunities within Sharecare’s existing business verticals or expansion into new verticals.
• Assess competitive market landscape / trends and identify corporate and business-level opportunities.
• Actively participate in reviewing and analyzing new business partnerships, M&A targets and prospective investor groups.
• Assist with other corporate development projects, such as sourcing, due diligence, modeling and post-merger integration activities.
• May develop or contribute to detailed financial models and valuation scenarios for potential deals.
• Create presentations for senior management, investors, Board of Directors and other stakeholders pertaining to business performance, new partnership analyses and strategic recommendations.
• Exhibit keen ability to work collaboratively with team members, and manage and initiate effective cross-functional relationships internally and externally.

• Requirements:
• Current student in an accredited 4-year college or graduate program with a major or concentration in business, management, finance/accounting, economics and/or engineering.
• Significant exposure to and interest in core finance and accounting concepts, business modeling, market analysis and entrepreneurial ventures.
• Prior experience in technology/media/healthcare, investment banking, consulting or in the corporate sector a plus.
• Expertise with MS Excel, Powerpoint, Word and other MS Office products.
• Effective communicator able to coordinate deadlines and deliverables among multiple stakeholders.
• Effective writer able to summarize complex ideas into succinct summaries and descriptions for presentation to senior management.
• Analytical thinker comfortable working with numbers and providing a data-driven rationale for recommendations.
• Comfort in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a dynamic team.

Salary: $12.00 /hour
