Corporate Computer Operator/Jr. Programmer

As a Computer Operator you will assist in operating and monitoring ERP software including iSeries (AS400) Database server. Performs routine tasks to ensure the ERP software is performing properly including linked third party software. In this position you will observe ERP software and run required daily, weekly, and monthly programs. This position ensures data is properly flowing between software modules and other third party tools. The successful candidate will possesses knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures and exhibits a sense of urgency when identifying or resolving problem areas. Candidates will also understand the importance of following pre-established instructions and guidelines when performing the functions of the job.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must be able to learn, understand and support our internal JDE system.
• Identify potential problems before they create larger issues.
• Compose and send emails announcing system issues.
• Create internal documentation and paths to resolutions within the context of company operations.
• Assist in development testing.
• Format and clean up data for special projects.
• Minimal Travel requirements.
• Candidate will be required to work at the corporate office in Garland, TX; this is not a remote position

• ERP large system installation experience in Logistics/Distribution or medium size system support
• 1-3 years in ERP role environment– Oracle, SAP, Peoplesoft, JDE
• JDE EnterpriseOne or World a plus.
• iSeries (AS/400) DBU2 a plus
• Basic understanding of ERP modules and what each is used for
• Background checks are part of the hiring process, which may include a Motor Vehicle Check.
