About the Corporate Communications Team:
The team provides communications support for a range of initiatives across Citi, including media relations and social media, executive visibility, quarterly earnings, government affairs, corporate sponsorship and Citi’s citizenship efforts, among others. The team’s mandate and working environment is dynamic and often involves unanticipated, real-time situations.

Corporate Communications works with many internal partners across Citi, including senior leadership, and often deals with confidential information. We regularly coordinate closely with other members of the Global Public Affairs team in regions across the world. In addition, the team regularly engages with outside parties, including members of the media.

Responsibilities
This role will provide input and support across the entirety of the Corporate Communications team. Responsibilities will range from research and coordination – to engaging directly with journalists on behalf of Citi. It is an excellent opportunity to quickly play an important role on a top-notch corporate communications team. Among the responsibilities:
  • Support all members of the Corporate Communications team in preparing briefing and research material for senior executives.
  • Play key role in the day-to-day functioning of the Corporate Communications team including engaging with members of the media and responding to colleague requests. In addition this team member will work directly with our outside agency partners to track and organize Citi news and social media highlights.
  • Assist in monitoring social media conversation, coordinate internal review of new social media projects and support content creation and engagement activities.
  • Work across Functions – including Finance, Citizenship, Government Affairs, and Sponsorship (among others) to support their various communication objectives.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1+ years of work experience in communications or related field preferred
  • Track record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Integrity, maturity, dependability, and a positive professional attitude
  • A team player who will implement initiatives effectively
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
