Corporate Air Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY

Manage, monitor and audit the performance of the Air Department involving all aspects of Business Travel Arrangements. Develop and maintain leadership skills required for the proper interactions with airline, car rental, and hotel partners.

JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Supervises Corporate Air Department Team.
  • Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
  • Contribute to the “luxury” experience for customers & employees.
  • Be able to listen and resolve any problems effectively and thoroughly.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Feel comfortable and confident with high demand situations and respond with a sense of urgency.
  • Conduct employee performance appraisals as required.
  • Must provide open door aspect for feedback and work well with any sudden changes in environment.
  • Work well under pressure and effectively multi-task while maintaining professional rapport with customer, partners and colleagues is essential
  • Strong knowledge of international fare construction and airline routing principles including tax rates
  • Possess exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively and clearly articulate with travelers at high levels within an organization and/or their delegates, in a wide array of situations that may be very intricate.
  • Be comfortable in dealing with situations that are highly complex and may involve numerous travelers at various different levels (C Level, Road Warriors).
  • Be highly productive in a self-directed work environment.
  • Be self-motivated and demonstrate initiative with a strong commitment to personal goals, objectives and work ethic
  • Check the GDS systems database for accuracy of current published, private and sale fares.
  • Remain current with all IATAN / ARC ticketing rules and reporting requirements.
  • Complete daily audits of ARC submittals in IAR.
  • Ensure competitive fares are utilized and applicable commissions applied.
  • Monitor and maintain satisfactory performance in the fulfillment of business travel arrangement.
  • Achieve a cost efficient departmental operation in accordance with Corporate Department objectives and budget guidelines.
  • Disseminate changes in procedures and programs including update to changes in airline, car rentals and hotel policies as required and authorized.
  • Handle special requests for travel which are different from the policies stipulated in the Corporate Travel Policy.
  • Enforce rules of conduct based on company policy and administer disciplinary actions when necessary
  • Participate in new hire and continuing training for Corporate Air Department as needed.
  • Responsibilities include, but not limited to, conducting interviews, hiring, and training employees. Planning, assigning, and directing work, as well as daily IAR audits. Appraising performance, coaching, rewarding and disciplining.

Qualifications include:

  • Be proficient in office systems to include Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Have good analytical skills and be able to provide analysis of carrier ticketing and performance.
  • A thorough knowledge of airline Reservation skills and GDS systems applications for both Amadeus/Apollo and ARC/IAR.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Highly successful in maintaining relationships with other departments to fulfill the objective of exceptional customer service.
  • Administer policies and procedures in accordance with Corporate objectives and employee development
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to travel in the USA/outside the USA
  • Ability to be flexible with schedule

EXPERIENCE

Outlined below are the academic qualifications and length and type of experience deemed necessary by Unique Vacations Inc. in order to perform the role of Manager, Corp Air competently.

  • Education: AA degree or 3years of related experienced
  • Experience: Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary: $42,000.00 to $45,000.00 /year
