Corporate Accountant – Associate

The Financial Control Group (FCG) is responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial and regulatory reporting for the Firm. FCG prepares external financial reports for public filings and regulators. For internal reporting FCG, along with the Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA), summarizes, plans and forecasts the organizations financial position, including income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future revenues, expenses and earnings. FCG is comprised of Business Unit Controllers, Infrastructure Controllers, Accounting, Regulatory and Reporting groups, and Valuation Review.

Job Description / Responsibilities:

– Responsible for daily cash process, including processing outgoing wires relating to investment activities

– Booking daily cash activity related to seed investments

– Reconciling investment balances to underlying partnership statements / valuations

– Responsible for booking monthly investment activity, including mark to market

– Involvement in accounting and reporting relating to fund consolidations

– Assist with compilation of information for 10Q/ 10K related disclosures

– Assist with ad hoc requests, as needed

Qualifications


Skills Required:

– 5+ years of prior accounting experience in the financial services industry

– Strong skills in Microsoft Excel

– Strong interpersonal and communications skills (both oral and written)

– Strong organizational skills and detail oriented

– Ability to meet tight deadlines while ensuring data integrity and working in a demanding environment/team

Skills Desired:

– Knowledge of investment accounting

– CPA or public accounting experience a plus.
