This role is responsible for the general accounting and reporting for the corporate shared service division. This includes posting of general ledger transactions, preparation and review of account reconciliations and participation in the month-end closing process. This position is responsible for maintaining and administering the general ledger for both domestic and international locations. In addition, there will be responsibility for the coordination and reconciliation of intercompany charges between the various Valmont locations. This role is also responsible for assisting with the preparation of the annual operating plan (AOP) for various Valmont locations.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Accounting
Two years relevant accounting experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
Minimum Qualifications:
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint
Ability to pay attention to detail and follow instructions
Ability to effectively analyze data
Very strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and under pressure
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
Working knowledge of accounting software: IFS, QAD, or Sage 100
Certified Public Accountant
Certified Internal Auditor license
