Coordinator of Marketing (full-time)

If so, then the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago is looking for you!

We have an opening for a full-time Coordinator of Marketing who will leverage their understanding of the marketing industry to increase museum attendance and revenue by coordinating and executing projects that support the museum’s marketing strategy. The Coordinator will have experience organizing logistics of marketing campaigns, from communicating with designers to working with media buying agencies and evaluating the impact of ad-buys. The Coordinator will demonstrate an interest in working closely with social media and media relations colleagues to support a cross-functional communications team including some administrative tasks. To be successful in this role, the Coordinator must be:

  • A team player with a positive attitude ready to help with tasks big and small
  • Willing to tackle last minute requests while balancing long-term projects
  • Able to take initiative collaborating with other departments and community partners to coordinate marketing campaigns, manage event logistics, and distribute museum collateral
  • A patient problem solver willing to track and comb through detailed financial reports

You should also have a Bachelor’s degree – marketing and/or communications background is preferred – with at least 1-3 years of professional experience in marketing and/or brand management. Other requirements include:

  • Strong written/verbal communication and organizational skills required with experience in budget management
  • Extensive computer skills including Microsoft Office, Adobe, and project management software preferred

This is a full time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm, with events and meetings as needed. Ability to have mobility throughout museum is required.
