The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for the financial accounting and reporting of multiple LLCs located in Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula Michigan, overall analysis and interpretation of findings to the President of the organization. Administer the internal controls within the organization. Responsible for the overall management of the Bookkeeping Department and the financial management of the organization, including the multiple LLCs located in Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula Michigan. Oversees a minimum of one Bookkeeper.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Maintain company financial records.
  • Oversee budget and financial management.
  • Perform duties related to accounting, bookkeeping and financial planning.
  • Analyze financial information to ensure taxes are paid on time.
  • Daily Reporting of the financial information to the President.
  • Create, analyze and monitor budgets.
  • Advise management on tax ramifications of business decisions.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable.
  • Forecast revenue and analyze ledgers.
  • Identify and investigate variances.
  • Participate in strategic planning and budget development.
  • Audit accounts for errors, misinformation, fraud, and overspending.
  • Supervise Bookkeeper.
  • No travel required.

Compensation:
$45,000 to $50,000 salaried, depending on experience and education.

Required Skills & Qualities:

  • Candidates must have strong decision-making ability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting theory.
  • 5 – 10 years accounting experience in all areas mentioned; CPA a plus, but not required.
  • Highly detail oriented and organized in work.
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from our President to accomplish objectives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Excel, and Quick Books.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
  • Excellent Work Ethic required.
