Controller

A family owned and professionally operated distribution business with it’s corporate headquarters in Greenville, SC is seeking a Controller. This 30 year old company has grown to be one of the largest independent suppliers in it’s industry. The company has driven consistent sales growth over the past several years and is gearing up to take the company to the next level. Achieving and maintaining best-in-class stature is the objective and this position is the senior finance position in the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create/interpret business information that enhances operating results & business decision support
• Ensure efficient and accurate monthly close.
• Support and partner with the cross-functional Management Team on all aspects of the business to drive maximum profitability and financial stability.
• Key owner of the business budget and financial forecasts ensuring all objectives are met.
• Liaise with outside stakeholders (bankers, CPAs, Insurance, HR, et al) on key accounting/HR/insurance/finance issues.
• Cash management oversight
• Develop and implement policies and procedures in order to maintain an environment of internal control and compliance with regulatory entities.
• Train, develop and maintain a culture of accountability among the accounting group.
• Continuous personal growth for upward mobility in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field required.
• CPA/CMA preferred.
• Big 4 experience is a plus
• 5+ years of accounting experience required. 1-2+ years of which in a lead or supervisory role.
• Thorough knowledge of financial and accounting practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of Great Plains a plus.
• Excellent leadership and human relations abilities.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.

• Salary: $115,000 depending on experience, plus bonus
