We currently have an opening for a Contract Specialist in our Indianapolis, IN location.

The Contract Specialist will support a wide range of field and customer support processes and functions including interaction with sales, operations, finance, accounting, and credit departments. This position is responsible for contract preparation and administration, monitoring all aspects of deal or contract completion, and special projects. This highly challenging role requires extreme attention to detail and organizational skills, along with excellent customer service skills and an outgoing personality.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Contract preparation, administration and completion for all customer deal activity within a defined area of responsibility.
  • Manage daily deal activity
  • Coordinate paperwork and approvals with internal sales/finance and external vendor management on all customer investments and pending/active deals
  • Coordinate setup for customer pricing, account structure, internal and external vendor rebates/credits, amortization, etc.
  • Coordinate with sales, credit and finance regarding legal documentation required as needed
  • Assist sales, operations, finance, accounting, and credit departments with researching various transactions related to customer profitability.
  • Assist sales management with defined customer programs and monitoring purchase requirements.
  • Promote superior customer service to field and home office co-workers as well as industry representatives and FinishMaster customers.
  • Perform similar and related duties to achieve objectives while using methods consistent with the FinishMaster culture.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications or related degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Efficient project management skills, ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Highly analytical thinker with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex work processes.
  • Innovative problem-solver who can generate workable solutions and resolve complaints.
  • Flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects.
  • Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing
  • Self-motivated, confident, energetic, and creative.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office (Excel is key).
  • Commitment to quality and excellence.
