Content Specialist

Job Summary:

The function of the Content Specialist I is to assist in the operation of the Content Department, to create product descriptions, to organize products within categories, and to input all relevant product data, ensuring the quality of information on the website.

He/she should be able to understand customer needs and should have a vision to create product descriptions that will meet those needs. He/she should be able to identify data and product issues and resolve or escalate them immediately.

The Content Specialist I position requires regular, full-time employment.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Researching, formatting and editing product data. Loading data and images onto the site in an efficient and accurate manner.
• Proficient use of content importing and editing tools. Additional task completion as assigned by Management.
• Suggesting and implementing QA projects. Product quality control.
• Focus on customers and develop in-depth knowledge of his/her division’s products.
• Display self-motivation and determination to achieve challenging goals and objectives. Product quality control.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 0-2 years of experience in ecommerce or a related field
• Ability to effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to think critically
• Computer literacy including use of web browsers, MS Excel, and keyboarding
