Consumer Loan Manager

Position Overview: The Consumer Loan Manager is responsible for the management of the Consumer Lending Team ensuring all loans are processed according to guidelines, meet quality assurance standards, coaching the team to meet goals, by cross selling and upselling products.

This position also oversees the Sales & Service and Collateral Management functions of the Consumer Lending Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Consumer Lending and understand Banking Regulations related to Consumer Lending.

Function Specific Activities:
Adhere to and communicate CU service and brand strategies, policies and procedures to ensure member service standards

Stay abreast of all applicable Federal regulations, CU policy and guidelines

Perform a post-closing audit on booked loans

Provides updates to Consumer Lending Guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions

Support the marketing team by participating in cross functional team meetings and providing information for consumer lending promotions

Monitor and manage new and pending applications to ensure prompt underwriting and member contact by the Loan Officer

Support Loan Officer and Loan Processor desks during absences (i.e. vacation, FWA, etc.)

Provide back-up support to Loan Officers and Loan Processor as loan volume dictates to ensure we maintain a high quality of member service

Update the MRM system with all communications affecting the member’s account

Complete CU’s Financial Counseling Program with members that request assistance as needed

Cross-sell and/or up-sell CU products and services

Other duties as assigned by the VP of Lending

Participate in annual budget preparation by determining

Training needs for self and team

Pricing for implementation of new products/services

Serve as administrator for Vendors

Review service agreements to ensure efficiency and performance

Facilitates huddles and team meetings on a regular basis

Prepare Monthly Update Report for VP of Lending

Review Paid Ahead Loans (PAL) exceptions

Review Missed Payment Non-Delinquent Accounts exceptions

Review Teller Critical Non-Financial Activity exceptions

Review New Loans Report Exceptions

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree Required

Related Work Experience: A minimum of 3 years in Consumer Lending Management
