Duties and Responsibilities

The Consultant will be responsible for supporting Simeio’s Identity Intelligence Center (IIC) to include, but not limited to:

• SA Engineering and Provisioning, Operations and Support, and Maintenance
• Install new/rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc., in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
• Install and configure infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications
• Perform daily system monitoring
• Conduct regular security monitoring
• Carry out daily backup operations
• Perform regular file archival
• Create, change, and delete user accounts per request
• Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning
• Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required
• Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment

Basic Qualifications

Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years IT experience with a strong customer service focus to include the following:

• Intermediate to advanced level hands-on-experience with Windows and Linux systems and networks.
• Experience installing, configuring and maintaining servers (e.g. web, mail, DNS, DHCP, telephony).
• Installation, maintenance, administration, and troubleshooting of LAN in UNIX/Linux environment, computer hardware and software
• Experience performing and assisting with equipment specification, setup, problem resolution, and network support related to computer hardware and software
• Experience providing assistance to local/remote users, optimizing systems operations
• Experience ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and system currency
• Experience with scripting – Unix, Linux, Perl, shell scripting
• Domain Administration and AD
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to perform independent research
• Bachelor’s Degree required
