JOB DESCRIPTION

Under supervision of the Business Assistance Coordinator, the Business Analyst will identify the overall program needs and develop a baseline of existing resources for complex Public Private Partnership (P3) and Design-Build construction projects. This position will require developing and maintaining effective working relationships with government and public officials, community partners and project managers.

The initial project assignment will be in the Atlanta, Georgia with possible participation on projects in other BTG service markets including the Washington, DC metropolitan area; Hampton Roads, VA; and Baltimore, MD.

QUALIFICATIONS

Workload and work opportunities program set-up and tracking; meet with and collect project specific data about schedules, work and location; provide information at Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Small Business Supplier Diversity events; coordinate branding materials with communications team.

Build Management Maturity Model (M3™) DBE Database of DBE Companies; analyze existing databases and programs to identify firms ready to engage; recruit existing and potential DBE owners to utilize BTG’s M3™ software tool; analyze information from each intake/outreach effort; refer DBEs to small business resources as needed; report and follow-up on each firm’s position and readiness to bid on future projects; work with project managers to review contracts, plans, schedules and other engineering documents.

Develop and maintain productive relationships with a broad cross-section of the community and coordinate communications and information flow to stakeholders; set-up and conduct initial small business network partner outreach; conduct broader outreach introduction of project program; identify with network partners other industry partnerships; identify with network partners from other DBE/Small business roundtable forums; conceptualizes, leads and organizes planning and logistics for public outreach meetings; including sourcing, negotiating prices, and adhering to approved budgets; collaborates with project personnel to translate complex concepts and data into understandable communication materials for the public.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Public Administration, Communications or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
  • Two to five years working in engineering, construction management, public transit, land development or the consulting industry.
  • Experience planning and facilitating meetings, working with community leaders and public officials, and handling and tracking intake material.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills with demonstrated experience establishing professional and well-organized end-product communications from various sources
  • Exceptional skills in public speaking, team building, constructive negotiation, and strong interpersonal skills in working with people of different interest and varying backgrounds
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience managing a team of professionals
